About

Thank you for your interest in my practice. I treat adults and adolescents age 16 and up with various issues including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, self-esteem, addictions, life changes, & other mental health issues. I also specialize in working with athletes, ranging from high school to professional, with various sports psychology needs. I played division I soccer at Washington State University so I can relate to their needs as student athletes & the commitment & focus that requires.  I have never found a mountain too big to climb. Just makes the ride down more fun!!

I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Washington (LMHC), a nationally certified counselor (NCC), and a Certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor in the state of Washington (CDP). I have over 25 years of experience working in the field. I do both face-face counseling and HIPPA compliant telemedicine through a private portal when appropriate.  I also go out in the field when necessary to facilitate change in one’s natural environment, whether it is during pre-game warm-up, school, work, or home.

I am an alumni of WSU & the U of I.  I got my B.A. in Recreation & Leisure Studies and B.S. in Psychology from Washington State University. I got my M.Ed. and Ed.S. in Counseling from the University of Idaho. I have worked in various settings the past 25 years including community mental health, college counseling center, after-hours crisis services for CPS & community mental health, coordinator for adolescent outpatient addiction program, high school counselor, and have been in private practice for the last 10 years.  I have lived here for the past 30 years. I know the challenges that living in a small community and college town can bring and the need for providing a safe, confidential atmosphere for all of my patients. I am private pay & out of network, however, I do provide documentation for insurance reimbursement if requested.
